London’s famous Natural History Museum is taking a bold step forward into the world of virtual reality (VR) in a special event commencing from the end of this month. Guided by world-renowned natural history presenter Sir David Attenborough, the new experience entitled First Life will take visitors back to the Cambrian period of Earth’s history and to the various long-extinct creatures that used to populate its seas.
Developed by Atlantic Productions, in conjunction with the Natural History Museum as well as Samsung’s VR technologies this special exhibit will take visitors face-to-face with the past like never before. Sir Michael Dixon, Director of the Natural History Museum said on the subject : “We’re always looking for new ways to challenge the way people think about the natural world – its past, present and future.”
Interested parties will need to book in advance for the event with dates ranging from June 19th to September 24th. More information can be found at the Natural History Museum website.
