Ana Ribeiro and Stef Keegan’s latest virtual reality (VR) project, a new Gear VR videogame built from scratch and partly based around Riberio’s initial successful videogame Pixel Ripped has come to Kickstarter.
Pixel Ripped 1989 takes the series back to the 80’s and the character Nicola, a huge fan of videogames who is trying to sneak in a game on her hand-held “Gear Girl” device in during a lesson. As Nicola you must balance playing the game whilst keeping an eye on the real workd so as not to be caught by your teacher, lose your gaming device and be sent to the headmaster.
The developers are looking at securing a funding goal of £40,000 GBP by Friday 14th August 2015, with one fifth of the required total currently required. You can see a promotional video for the project below:
