Launched today by developer Massive Square Inc is a virtual reality (VR) experience that transports viewers to the famous Neon Museum in Las Vegas, Nevada. Originally released for the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) back in 2014, then for iOS and Android, it now arrives on the Gear VR.
Using the head-tracking technology in the Gear VR HMD, users can view the museum’s front, visitor centre, outdoor area including the stunning signage of the museum. Over the years the museum has collected signs from numerous old Las Vegas casinos and other businesses, putting them on display across an area covering approximately 6 acres.
Neon Museum is available to download for free, and gives anyone interested in the history of Las Vegas a window into its brightly coloured past, where just as today the neon signs played an important role in the cities development.
GearVR.uk will continue to follow any and all experiences for Gear VR, reporting back with the latest updates on them.
