The latest Oculus Home update for Gear VR has brought with it a unique version of the critically acclaimed Temple Run, known as Temple Run VR. A groundbreaking endless runner, a demo version Temple Run VR is available to download for Gear VR now for free.
The original Temple Run was released in August 2011 for Apple’s iPhone and iPad, before being ported to Android and Windows Phone devices. It has since spawned a full sequel, Temple Run 2, as well as branded spin-offs for the films Brave and Oz. Temple Run VR follows the original mobile editions of Temple Run but with the twist that it is now controlled by the player tilting their head to run and move. Temple Run VR can also be played with Samsung’s bluetooth control pad.
Our friends at VRFocus previewed Temple Run VR shortly after it’s announcement, stating; “Adjustments have been made to compensate for the revised experience on a VR HMD of course, but the challenge remains the same: travel as far as you can, collecting coins and avoiding obstacles.”
A full version of Temple Run VR is expected to be available upon the launch of the premium store for Oculus Home on Gear VR and GearVR.uk will keep you updated with all the latest details.
