Previously VRFocus reported on Samsung’s virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) the Gear VR being made available in the UK. Now it looks like the device will be available in Spain as of the 13th February 2015. The Gear VR is already available in a handful of EU countries.
The HMD will be available in Spain for €249 EUR. The news comes after the kit sold out in the UK, with orders pushed back until the 27th February. Release details for the rest of Europe are not yet known, however the device does feature on several of the countries websites including Germany, Sweden.
Samsung’s Gear VR runs on a Galaxy Note 4 which features an enlarged Quad HD screen. The Android operating system (OS) runs the VR content featured on the device. Currently the Oculus VR Store from which users download content only features free experiences. A premium option that will allow developers to charge for their products will be arriving in the future.
A new version of Samsung’s Gear VR is said to support the company’s flagship phone the S6 though there are no official details as of yet. GearVR.uk will keep you updated on the international rollout.
